Picture Rails & Picture Rail Systems

Systematic Art picture rails provide the foundation for flexible picture rail systems used to hang and display artwork without repeatedly drilling new mounting holes. These art rails are available in a variety of profiles, lengths, and configurations and can be installed on compatible wall or ceiling surfaces for artwork, photographs, framed pictures, and other display applications. The Click Track Picture Rail provides a wall-mounted option for creating a flexible cable picture hanging system.

Once installed, a picture rail provides a continuous attachment point for compatible hanging cables. The cables can be positioned and repositioned along the rail, allowing artwork and displays to be moved horizontally without repeatedly drilling new mounting holes into the wall.

Combined with adjustable cable hooks, a picture rail system provides both horizontal and vertical flexibility. Cables can be moved along the rail to change the horizontal position of an object, while compatible hooks can be repositioned along the cable to adjust its hanging height.

Systematic Art picture rails offer several important advantages:

1. Wall & Ceiling-Mounted Options: Picture rails are available for different installation requirements, including compatible wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted configurations.

2. Flexible Artwork Placement: Hanging cables can be repositioned along the rail, making it easier to change the location and arrangement of artwork without creating new wall mounting points for every change.

3. Multiple Rail Profiles: Systematic Art offers a range of picture rail styles, from minimal profiles designed to remain visually discreet to more substantial rails for applications requiring different system capabilities.

4. Compatible Cable Systems: Picture rails can be combined with compatible nylon or stainless steel hanging cables, cable hooks, and other Systematic Art components to create a complete picture hanging system.

5. Modular Display Design: Additional cables and compatible hanging hardware can be positioned along the rail as display requirements change, providing flexibility for both individual artwork and larger installations.

6. Residential & Professional Applications: Picture rail systems are suitable for homes, galleries, museums, offices, retail spaces, showrooms, exhibitions, and other environments where artwork or displays may be changed or repositioned.

Picture rails are particularly useful for spaces with changing displays. Once the rail system is installed, artwork can be rearranged using the cables and hooks rather than creating a new set of mounting holes each time a picture is moved.
